Located near the corner of Clark and Superior is a burger bar called 25 Degrees. Named after the exact temperature difference between a raw and well-done burger, 25 Degrees on N Clark St. is one of four locations internationally (other locations include Los Angeles, Huntington and Bangkok).
After living in the city for a couple of months, I have been able to try a couple different burger bars or places that serve “fancy burgers”. I love a good fancy burger, but most of the time the cost for them makes it not worth it because although it may have special toppings, it’s still just a burger.
25 Degrees is the most reasonably price burger bar that I’ve had- and the best yet. Size-wize the burger I chose was perfectly eatable. Some fancy burgers go all out to the point where you can’t figure out how to eat them. All manners go out the window and it forces you to strategize how you go about eating it. When a burger is involved, I don’t like to have to think about how to eat it.
I went with the #2 that had roasted tomato, burrata, crispy prosciutto and pesto. The burger comes wrapped and ready to eat, and thank goodness it does because it was very juicy!
25 Degrees also offers alcoholic milkshakes… Yep, you read that correctly. I went with the non-alcoholic vanilla bean milkshake and split it with a friend. DELICIOUS. Totally worth it!
25 Degrees gets a 10/10. Wouldn’t change a thing!
