Alright my trendy friends, if you’re looking for somewhere within the Lawrence community that sustains all of your healthy desires I have the place for you!
T. Loft is a contemporary juice and tea location that is also known for providing an array of options when it comes to lean and healthy meals, or what they refer to as “clean eats”.
T. Loft’s interior is one of a kind from their large indoor chaise lounge to their indoor swings that are ready for use.
As a juice freak myself, I absolutely love this place. Many days I have come to T. Loft starting my day with an “Alive and Alert” which is one of their most popular juices including a combination of kale, spinach, grape, orange, apple and ginger. While many are a little apprehensive when it comes to its light green color, it has a flavor that emphasizes the fruits within the juice and rather than the vegetables.
If you are a picky eater like me, their “clean eats” provide you with the ability to make your own combinations. You can choose from salad, scramble, and meal bowls. When I go I like to make a variation of the Chicken Salad Brown Rice Bowl. Usually, I will have brown rice, chicken, spinach, feta cheese, grapes, pineapple, sun-dried tomatoes and honey mustard. While this combination sounds delicious to me, it might not sound good to you, but that’s the good thing about their menu. You can pick and choose whatever you want from the checklist and they will make it for you.
Everything at T. Loft is gluten free, right down to their “protein balls” which are my favorite part. They make a few different kinds, but the one I love the most is the peanut butter protein ball. A mixture of all natural peanut butter, gluten-free oats, honey, maple syrup, nut blend and flax seed create a delicious taste that makes it really hard to believe that the little guy is healthy for you. A variation of the peanut butter protein ball I adore has a little dab of Nutella on top. Seriously, how can you say no to that?
T. Loft has locations other than Lawrence, including Overland Park, Kansas City Mo. and a new location opening July 2015 at The Country Club Plaza. So it’s safe to say that my obsession during the school year will soon continue year-round!
On a scale of 1-10, I would give T. Loft a 9.
